FISU Evaluation Committee visit starts to evaluating sport venues and facilities for World University Games 2027!

- The FISU Evaluation Committee entered on 26th (Fri) with 6-day schedule -
- To inspect major stadiums and to check the technically inspected matters conducted in last July -

Chungcheong Megacity 2027 World University Games Bid Committee (hereinafter referred to as the CMBC) announced that the FISU Evaluation Committee composed by the Executive Committee of International University Sport Federation (hereinafter referred to as FISU) will visit Chungcheong Province with a 6-day schedule from the 26th (Fri) to the 31st (Wed).


This FISU Evaluation committee is composed of 4 people; Acting President Leonz Eder, Vice President Marian Dymalski, Secretary-General/CEO Eric Saintrond, and Director of the Summer Games Jing Zhao. They will visit the main stadiums and facilities where the Games will be held. Also, they will check the aspirations of the people who wish to host the Games and the status of preparations. In addition, they will follow up on the facts about the technically inspected matters conducted in last July by the FISU Technical Inspection Team.


The FISU Evaluation committee will arrive in Daejeon on the 26th (Fri), visit Sejong on the 27th (Sat), the athletic facilities in Asan and Daejeon on the 28th (Sun), and check the preparation status in Cheongju on the 29th (Mon). After that, the evaluation committee will have a press conference with domestic sports-related organizations in Seoul on the 30th (Tue), and depart on the 31st (Wed).


The CMBC will try to make this chance to showcase the appropriateness of hosting the games in Chungcheong Megacity.


During this FISU Evaluation Committee visits, the CMBC will prepare several programmes that show how much CMBC has progressed since the last FISU inspection visit and showcases events such as ▲ One Million Signature Ceremony ▲ Visiting the Government Complex Sejong in Chungcheong region ▲ Receptions and dinners with mayors & provincial governors, chairpersons, presidents of sports clubs, and university presidents.


According to CMBC, "As the final decision day is closely approaching, we will make sure to introduce the aspirations of the people who wish to attract the World University Games Summer 2027."

The confirmation of the host city will be made by a vote of the executive members at the FISU Executive Committee Board Meeting to be held in Brussels, Belgium on 12th November.
